Zelimkhan Matiev was kidnapped in September, 15-16,2003.
Zelimkhan Matiev is a native of the Northern Osetiya,born in Vladikavkaz,ethnic status-ingush. Last 8-9 months,Zelimkhan Matiev had been occupied in business. Usually,he bought articles of manufactury in Nalchik,brought them in Grozny,during 2-3 days sold and came back home. In the beginning of September,2003,he went to Grozny to encash next parcel of industrial goods,in several days after he sold it he was coming back home but missed on the way. He had a substantial sum of money. In 5-6 days after his disappearance,his mother,Matieva Lyubov Ahmedovna,headed for Grozny to seek her son. She applied to Chechen ministry of internal affairs and Chechen procuracy with request to find her son: Matiev Zelimkhan Isaevich,born in 1979.As well,Lyubov Ahmedovna walked around Grozny showing her son’s photo to people and one day, a young man came up to her and told he saw her son in SIZO(investigatory isolator) of Chernokozovo settlement,Naursky district,Chechen republic. He also told that Zelimkhan and other arrested people were beaten and tortured. That young man did not call his own name. In spite of her applications to different power structures,Lyubov Ahmedovna Matieva could neither get in SIZO(investigatory isolator) of Chernokozovo settlement, nor check the information.

The Matievs applied to the authorities of all kinds but have not got any answer to their questions. Where is Zelimkhan? Is he alive?
