A resident of the village of Ordzhonikidzevskaya of Sunzha District of Ingushetia claims that on August 4, his son Vakha Zhovbatyrov was kidnapped by armed people. As of August 8, whereabouts of Vakha Zhovbatyrov is still unknown.

According to his parents, Vakha left his home and went to the nearby mosque for night prayer. At the end of the street two white minivans Gazel stood, with armed men in camouflage and masks inside the vehicles. According to eyewitnesses’ story, when Vakha passed by the vehicles, the unidentified people grabbed him and repeatedly hit with the butts of their guns. Vakha was trying to escape, then they hit him on the brick fence, and he lost consciousness.

A young man was forced into a Gazel and driven away to some unknown destination. Shortly before the kidnapping, on the day of August 4, officers from unidentified power agency conducted an operation to verify passport regime. According to Zhovbatyrov’s parents, the entire block was cordoned off.
