Prigorodniy district

20 YEARS. How much longer?

In the summer of 2012 in Ingushetia pompously celebrated the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the republic, which are organs of the state: the government, the legislature, law enforcement agencies and some no media – all that is necessary for the implementation of memory management by region.

Today, Ingush and Ossetians (each in its own way) remember those who are flexible in autumn 1992.

Every day, talking to people, I understand that the average growth siyanin, or do not know at all, or had heard vaguely about the terrible events of that autumn.

I think this article is not the place to write about who is to blame and who ka-tions atrocities wrought. To cite just dry numbers that the reader will understand a lot.

In the so-called Ossetian-Ingush conflict, which lasted from October 31 to November 5, 1992 (according to the investigation the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation) were killed:

Total – 546, of whom 407 Ingush, 105 – Ossetians.

The dead included 41 women, of which 33 ingushki (almost all brutally tortured), 5 – Ossetian. Children under 15 years – all Ingush.

Now the missing:

Total – 204 people. Of them – the Ingush 192, of which 12 – women, children up to 16 years – 5 people, 63 people – men over 65 years old. 11 people – Ossetians, of which not a single child and a single woman.

I think these data are sufficient to understand the nature and Tse-whether the conflict.

That happened during the conflict and in the aftermath he did not just write the representatives of both sides of the conflict.

But what is happening today, and is there a solution of this issue?

In the trailers, barracks and kindergartens, even then hastily converted into dormitories, a whole generation that has not seen the normal conditions of life: separate bathrooms, his room, computer toys. And these guys have grown, have to understand something of the life and ask yourself the question: why? Why do we have to live in trailers? Why are we – the refugees? In our own country!? Who prevents us from returning to their homes, which are a 30 minute drive from here – from these reservations?

Yes, many were able to return to their homes. Many, but not all: about a thousand families are still unable to return to their homes on their own land.

During the conflict, I was 11 years old. Now I have a family, my brothers and sisters have families, but we can not return to the fold. And I was not even offered an alternative.

Since the return of Suburban District to Ingushetia so painfully perceived by the federal government, then explain the ban on the return of people to their homes – is impossible. Corny, but I will refer to the Constitution: «Everyone has the right to choose their place of residence» … But Stalin also had a constitution.

Never, I repeat – never one Ingush will not give up its land, their ancestors. Whatever the laws and agreements that were not and did not sign. From this it is necessary to proceed, and this must be understood both in Moscow and in Ossetia and some eye-officials in Magas.

Our ancestors said, and continue to cling to their homeland as a child clings to the hem of her mother, because you want to break away from it will be much.

And we will follow the legacy of our ancestors.

Today we mourn over all (without exception) who died and those who are buried and failed.
